Our Big Tree Terrace is situated just steps from the beach, fitted into an old frangipani tree. Weather permitting, at an open air setting, BBQs are held in evenings, at last light, with the sound of the waves, and the view is of the spectacular sun setting over
the Andaman Sea. Daily freshest seafood, caught in local waters,
grilled over charcoal, the ambience is one of understated yet romantic.
If you prefer a quiet intimate dinner, true romantic, far ways from the rest of the world, our team will arrange for a champagne breakfast, a private picnic or an evening barbecue beneath the stars, with a personal chef and waiter at a secluded island beach nearby.

Sea Gypsy’s BBQ
Roughly three centuries ago, a tribe of people fled turmoil in Indonesia for a nomadic life on the ocean. They fished their way up the eastern edge of the Andaman Sea, and by the late 1800′s had established semi-permanent communities on the Phang Nga Bay. Known in English as “sea gypsies”, they are most often referred to by their Thai name of chao leh, literally “people of the sea”.
Sea Gypsys consider eating to be a very important social activity. All people eat together, around one table, sharing food and conversation as one big community. From this, family and friends bonds gained strength.
Social eating is a foundation of healthy societies….and it is very enjoyable to talk with family and friends while eating. This is best done by all guests sitting around one table.
Southern Thai cooking seems to reflect the characteristics of the people, being impetuous and have a spice and zest for life.
Simply sit back and sip a glass of wine. There is no need to order from a menu. Let our waiting staff bring the specialties directly from the coals and put, still sizzling hot onto your plate. You can keep eating till your heart (or tummy) is content.
